The studio is kept nice and warm for newborn sessions, so it is advisable to wear light comfortable clothing. You can bring your outfit to change into when we get to the family photos.

For all sessions I suggest neutral colours (black, grey, white). Avoid over-the-top patterns, busy logo T-shirts and jeans and white T-shirts. Lace detail or a soft floral pattern that does not clash with other family members will give a timeless look.

Don’t worry about a changing due date. To ensure I can accommodate the uncertain nature of newborn due dates, I only take on a limited number of sessions each month. This means that it doesn’t matter when your little bundle decides to arrive as long as your session is secured in my calendar.

You just need to let me know when he or she has arrived and we will schedule the session date within the first 10 days after birth.

Maternity and newborn sessions are best booked once you have past the first trimester, as I book out months in advance.

For most of my sessions everything is provided, from newborn outfits to maternity gowns and props. However, if there are any special items you would like to include in your session (a musical instrument, favourite toy, special blanket that Grandma knitted), then by all means, bring it along.

While gowns are provided for maternity sessions, there is a small list of items you will need to bring including various underwear options, jeans and high heels depending on the style of your session. Further detail about this will be provided once booked.

But there is one thing that everyone must bring to every session … a smile!

Parent and sibling shots are included in most of my newborn packages. It is up to you which images you select from your gallery. Please request a price guide via the contact form for more information.

This is a special time for your little family to welcome their new baby and newborn sessions require a calm settled environment. I also have limited space in my studio so for this and safety reasons, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins should be booked for in a separate family session.

Newborn sessions can take anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on how settled bub is and if we are taking sibling photos. To get the most out of your session, I recommend that you do not schedule other appointments on the day of your session.

Family and maternity sessions can take 1-2 hours.

Newborn sessions are held on weekdays only in the first 14 days after birth. I start these sessions at 10:00am, as it is when most newborns are settling in for another sleep. It will also allow ample time for settling and feeding without feeling rushed.

I am a mum of 3 and I know the last thing new mums want to do is get their photo taken. However, I strongly encourage you to get in a couple of photos. You don’t have to pick them from your gallery if you don’t love them, but at least you have the option.

But in all honesty, it is so important. Think about the family albums that you enjoy looking through the most. The ones of your parents and grandparents, seeing what they looked like when they were younger, the hair styles and clothes. Your kids are going to want to see what you looked like when you had them.

Don’t be, maternity photos are not just for model bods. I have photographed many mums of all shapes and sizes and it is all about posing and angles to ensure the most flattering images for all body types.

These shoots are empowering and you only get a few chances in your lifetime to do one. Get your hair and make up done before you come and feel glamorous for a day.

Most mums are worried about taking their clothes off or whether the gowns are going to fit.

Yes, I shoot classy nudes and silhouettes but it is not like you are strutting around the studio with nothing on. I have robes for you to put on in between shots and we’ll get you into position with everything strategically covered before dropping the robe.

BUT … nudes are not for everyone and that is why I have a wide variety of luxurious gowns in many sizes, colours and styles for you to choose from. You can go as sheer or full covered as you are comfortable with.

Payment option include cash or credit card.

Your deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your session in my calendar. An online invoice will be emailed to you with 48-hour payment terms. Once paid, your session will be confirmed in my calendar. Unpaid invoices will cancel after 48 hours and the session made available to other clients.

The balance of your package plus 50% of any additional product cost will be due on the day of your session with the product balance upon collection of your images and print products.

Images, products and part packages will not be released until full payment is finalised.

You will view and select your newborn photos at the end of the session. Maternity images will be viewable at this session also.

Each of your images is hand edited and will take up to 2-3 weeks to edit. The final edits will be uploaded to an online gallery for you to view and proof before printing.

Print items are ordered after 4:00pm on Fridays and should be ready for collection between 1-2 weeks (depending on supplier and postage turnaround).

Yes, all of my packages include the high-resolution digital images. However, I cannot guarantee print results and quality outside of my professional print providers.

I do not offer in home sessions. My style of photography requires a significant amount of equipment, so for best results my sessions are held in-studio where we have everything at our fingertips.

My speciality is newborn and family photography. I am not setup nor equipped to provide wedding services but I will gladly provide a recommendation if required.

Once paid, deposit payments are non-refundable; however, we all can get sick and kids are the best at it. If you can’t make a session due to illness, we’ll just reschedule your session for a later date. I would appreciate as much notice as possible.

If anyone participating in the session becomes sick prior to the session or are quarantined by a doctor, your session cannot proceed until you have received the all clear from your doctor.

I also ask that should anyone who participated in the session contracts a contagious illness or be quarantined by a doctor within two weeks following the session that you also let me know.

This is not just to protect future clients but also your family as you can rest assured that I am taking every measure I can to prevent the spread of illness especially for my tiniest of clients.

I reserve the right to reschedule a session in the case of personal illness. I understand that this can be inconvenient; however, I am sure you want to protect your new baby from becoming sick and I would never want to put them at risk.

Yes, I am fully vaccinated against whooping cough and receive an annual flu shot.
